Loren is a self-taught nature photographer who opened his studio/gallery in the ICB in 1986. He searches for the drama created by low angle or diffused light, the miraculous colors, and the abstract forms in nature. The source of his imagery is low speed color film utilizing medium and 35mm formats.

Exhibiting in galleries and major art shows, his work has been purchased by corporations, foundations, and private collectors. His images have been publishes in books, posters, calendars, and note cards.
