Elaine Gentile creates landscapes on location..."plein air", The scenery across the Golden Gate Bridge resembles her hometown in Upstate N.Y where she grew up on a large dairy farm.
Her still life paintings of fruit and flowers are bold and vibrant in contrasting colors. Picking wild flowers as a small child was her favorite past time.
Elaine's occupations as a flight attendant, teacher and psychotherapist are combined to produce more reflective art in her abstract pieces. She likes to work with energy and emotion mixed with places of rest.
Numerous medical and business facilities along with the Sakaide Museum in Japan have her paintings.
Elaine has had numerous exhibitions in Marin County and San Francisco.  December's issue of "Artist's Magazine has awarded her "Finalist" in their 23rd Annual Art Competition for 2006.
