Along with my family and home, art is my life. It's a continuation of many things. Being a product of Italian immigrant parents and having had a studio in Tuscany for 25 years, my paintings are greatly influenced in color and subject matter by the Italian scene. Taking advantage of their culture, I have incorporated many aspects of the Italian life, their colorful landscapes, their imaginative pottery and ceramics, and of course, the people themselves. Always with a point of view in mind—to keep my paintings a pleasure to look at. Wasn't it Moliere who said, "the aim of art is to please"?

I am a Bay Area artist and have lived in Kentfield since 1945. Along with my studio in Italy, I also maintained one at the Industrial Center Building since 1985. My formal training began with scholarships at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, The California Art Institute, and also studied with Tom Holland. That was followed by three years on staff with a graphic arts design studio.

I have had many solo exhibitions and group showings including the Bolinas Museum, Museo Italo Americano in San Francisco and the Vacaville Museum in Vacaville. My collections are found in Canada, Hawaii, England, France, Italy, Taiwan and the United States.

I have been invited to be in a book titled, "60 So What" done by Gerry Keegan, who is a photographer. The book is a vignette on women sixty years or older who are leading very productive lives, who defy the stereotype of older women. Included will be a biographical sketch of each woman plus a
